After the first report broke out in June, Apple worked up for an update to fix the iPhone green color issue that targeted iPhone X, 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max. Apparently, Apple has released iOS 13.6.1 that fixes the issue. According to the iOS/iPad 13.6.1 patch notes, a thermal management system based on the device’s software caused the green tint to appear. It couldn’t be fixed with hardware throttling given the fact the issue was reported when iPhone was using less power i.e. during wake up and transition from Dark Mode to Night Shift, etc. As of now, it is unclear how Apple could’ve fixed it but at the end of the day, the iPhone green tint screen issue is gone for good.
Apple has also fixed an issue on iPhones and iPads that caused data storage issues. Apple devices are programmed to clear unwanted files when the storage is filling up. This resulted in accumulation of junk files which we all know causes the phone to slow down. However, the bug caused the function to be impaired causing data storage issues. With iOS/iPad 13.6.1 update, this problem is gone for good too.
