Asus is reportedly working on a new Zenfone model preferably Asus Zenfone 7 or 7Z, the successor to Asus Zenfone 6/6Z that was launched in India last year in May. Apparently, a new phone bearing the moniker “Asus ZF” was recently spotted in Geekbench. It is believed to be the upcoming ‘Zenfone 7’ citing some of the specs mentioned on the listing.
The purported Asus ZF aka Zenfone scored 973 points on single-core and 3346 points on Geekbench 5.2. With that being said, the listing also revealed that the upcoming Asus phone sports 16GB of RAM and runs on the latest Android 10 out-of-the-box.
Citing previous leaks and the latest Geekbench listing paints a potential picture on what the upcoming Asus Zenfone 7 will probably bring on-board. The Asus Zenfone 7/7Z sports a processor codenamed as ‘Kona’ which for those who don’t know is for Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 octa-core processor with a base frequency of 1.84GHz and as per what we know so far, the max frequency it will bring on-board is 2.84GHz.
The predecessor Asus Zenfone 6 arrived with multiple configurations with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage so Asus could surprise us by enhancing the configurations given the fact that the Geekbench listing lists the purported Asus ZF to sport 16GB of RAM.
Last year, Asus 6/6Z was equipped with a dual flip camera setup that would rotate and act as both the front and the rear camera setup boasting a 48+13MP sensor. Apart from that, the phone had a 5,000 mAh battery under-the-hood coupled with 10W fast charging
As of now, we don’t know about the upcoming Asus Zenfone 7 much so we will have to wait until the information is confirmed by Asus or other reliable sources.
