As Android 11 is inching closer to its launch in Q3 2020. Huawei and Honor users have become restless as the Chinese OEM hasn’t posted any news regarding its custom user interface EMUI 11 based on Android 11. Although it is still under development, it was just yesterday that we got some news from a reliable source since it is coming from a high-ranking Huawei executive.
Huawei’ Consumer Business Software Development’ President Dr. Wang Chenglu confirmed that the EMUI 11 is indeed in development and it will officially launch in Q3 2020.
There’s no official date available as of now, however, given the time period of Q3 2020 i.e. July to September, we are inching closer to its release as well. The most probable date for its launch is sometime in the last week of September when Huawei is scheduled to hold a consumer-centric launch event although take it with a pinch of salt.
Huawei is expected to roll out EMUI 11 and MagicUI 4.0 (for Honor) during the same period as said before the Mate40 series goes official in October. Accordingly, the Mate40 series will be the first to debut with Android 11-based EMUI 11 while the Mate30 series will be the first to get bumped from EMUI 10.2-based Android 10.
Huawei’s EMUI has shown substantial growth in terms of adding a laureate of new features every year. Huawei also develops MagicUI 4.0 custom user interface for its Honor phones that will also get the upgrade at the same time.
Apart from that, the Chinese smartphone maker is working towards an active Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) as it no longer has GMS on smartphones after the “Huawei Ban” swing into action since last May. We will keep a close tab on the upcoming EMUI 11/MagicUI 4.0 so stay out to know more.
After a long wait, Huawei has spoken about the upcoming EMUI11/MagicUI 4.0 as it will arrive in Q3 2020, probably September. pic.twitter.com/B5xqkQspQr
