We just heard that Xiaomi Mi 11 is slated to arrive in January 2020. Samsung is planning for the upcoming Galaxy S21 series launch in the same month. Perhaps, OnePlus is also moving faster with its OnePlus 9 series expected to arrive in March instead of April like every year. Apparently, the folks at LetsGoDigital and Concept Creator and Waqar Khan have created 3D renders for the OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 9 respectively that show the devices in all their glory.
OnePlus 9 Pro Design
The 3D renders for OnePlus 9 Pro from Concept Creator & LetsGoDigital gives out more information about the cosmetic changes OnePlus has brought upon. The curves are more pronounced. The rear camera setup shows a quad-camera setup with two humongous lenses plus two smaller lenses. There’s a wide-angle, ultra-wide, and a telephoto sensor although we aren’t aware of what type of cam is the fourth one. There’s a tiny front punch-hole cut-out on the top-left corner. The bezels are extremely slim, the display has a curved profile and the chin is exceptionally reduced giving it a much premium look.
The display has a 6.7-inch Fluid AMOLED panel and, reports suggest that the Pro model could pack in a 144Hz refresh rate. Along with, there’s a high-caliber stereo speaker with Dolby Atmos support on-board.
OnePlus 9 Design
Talking about the non-Pro variant, it sports a flat display as per previous reports and we highly doubt it would change. There’s not much cosmetic change with the OnePlus 9 when compared to the OnePlus 9 Pro. There’s a triple camera setup with a significantly charged up camera bump with two large-sized lenses and a flushed out third sensor. The front punch-hole cut-out to the top-left corner remains the same.
OnePlus 8T arrives with a 120Hz refresh rate and so will the OnePlus 9. We will update here in case there’s some change in the mentioned details.
OnePlus 9 & OnePlus 9 Pro Specifications
If you have been following OnePlus releases for a couple of years, there’s no rocket science in deciphering a few specs. The OnePlus 9 series will arrive with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 SoC that will launch on December 1. It has already made its entry on Geekbench with an 8GB RAM variant already. You can read more about the expected OnePlus 9 specs here.
OnePlus 9 series will get a 65W Warp Charge as well since it made its debut with OnePlus 8T. Apart from that, we are expecting a slightly larger battery as well.
OnePlus 9 Series Release Date
Apparently, there are two schools of thought when it comes to OnePlus’ decision to launch the OnePlus 9 series in March instead of April. According to the reports, OnePlus is either trying to give the OnePlus 9 series sometime before the incremental ‘9T’ version arrives later next year. OnePlus is probably trying to give a tough fight against Galaxy S21 series touted to launch in January 2020.
