Finally, the date is out. Nothing is officially launching the much-anticipated Nothing Phone (2a) on March 5 (Tuesday) at 11:30 AM GMT. The tech giant took it to X (formerly Twitter) to drop the big news with the event titled ‘Fresh Eyes’ possibly teasing the design changes hinting at a previously leaked hands-on image.
Nothing Phone (2a) Teases Hints At Design
A few days ago, the tech world rose to a surprise after @OnLeaks got their hands on renders showcasing an iPhone X-like vertical camera bump on a supposed Nothing Phone (2a). However, soon enough, reports started pouring in about the bluff and instead, people were more confident that a previous leak suggested a horizontally-placed camera bump housing the dual camera setup. We have seen the hands-on leaked images housed in a protective case that hid all the details on the back (essentially the portion we’d have loved to see).
Nothing Phone (2a) Pricing (Rumored)
Nothing Phone (2a) is a budget-friendly phone probably residing in the INR 30,000/- price tag. Its EU pricing is speculated at around EUR400 while the US pricing is likely pegged at $430. Phone (2a) might not have a countrywide release in the US. Instead, Nothing is expected to launch a Phone (1)-like Beta Membership program for Nothing Phone (2a) with a limited release. The program is dubbed as ‘Developer Program’ probably to test how people react to a budget phone from Nothing at this point.

We don’t have the full-fledged specs sheet yet, however, countless leaks have already given us key information.
Phone (2a) likely has a Dimensity 7200 or Dimensity 7200 Ultra SoC based on the reports. Nothing OS 2.5 based on Android 14 will handle its software end. Apart from that, there’s a 6.7” FHD+ OLED panel boasting a 120Hz refresh rate. There’s a 32MP front and a dual rear camera setup at 50MP primary plus 50MP ultrawide. We also have a 45W fast charging tech powering the device.
