Realme is indeed in a rage to showcase new phones in the coming weeks. Yesterday, it launched both Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro after skipping the ‘Series 4’ due to a common belief in Chinese culture. At the end of the event in India, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth did make a statement that Realme will be launching a device called Realme XT soon. Fast forward to today, Realme CMO Chase posted an image of a velociraptor with the caption teasing an upcoming smartphone to launch next week. Also, the name remains a mystery, this hasn’t stopped media outlets to spin theories and speculations so here’s everything about it.
Realme unveiled Realme X and X Lite smartphones earlier this year while Realme 5 and 5 Pro were made official yesterday although without the much-expected 64MP sensor. However, the Realme XT is believed to be the one that will hone the powerful 64MP sensor and will debut by the end of September or early October. The device will sport a Snapdragon 710 SoC along with a quadruple-camera setup with the primary sensor being 64MP. It could even get the latest MediaTek Helio G90 or Helio G90T processor as well but that’s just speculation at the moment.

According to the timeline that Realme has followed so far, it usually launches new phones in China first followed by other countries. As the post by Chase doesn’t specify if the upcoming phone will launch in China or elsewhere, there is a notion that it probably Realme 5 or 5 Pro that will make it official debut in China or it could be Realme XT that will go on floor in China next week followed by an India launch sometime later.
This is interesting since Xiaomi itself has already made it official that the Redmi Note 8 Pro with a 64MP sensor will be unveiled on August 25 along with its non-Pro variant that might not get the giant sensor.
