Realme X50 5G is incoming with dual-mode 5G & dual punch-hole cameras

Just a few days ago, we saw Oppo’s sub-brand Realme launch its first-ever flagship smartphone aka Realme X2 Pro with Snapdragon 855+ and whatnot. Realme is not done here as the company’s CMO Xu Qi Chase had made it official that the upcoming phone will have 5G. He posted a teaser image on Chinese social network Weibo with the device dubbed as Realme X50 5G that will mark the company’s first-ever 5G smartphone.

Realme X50 to have dual-mode 5G, dual punch-hole cameras

Apparently, the teaser gives a lot of details on the upcoming smartphone. It showcases the name along with its capability to support dual-mode 5G i.e. both standalone and non-standalone 5G networks. This will allow Realme X50 5G to have wider, broader 5G coverage thanks to its dual-band.

Apart from that, it will be the first to have dual punch-hole sensors at the front on the top-left of the screen. Having a punch-hole camera has become a trend in the 5G realm so that makes sense. In fact, the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi K30, Honor V30, and Huawei Nova 6 all have a punch-hole camera and the OnePlus 8 series will follow the suite as well.

Realme’s CEO Madhav Seth posted an image captured with a mysterious Realme smartphone with 64MP AI Quad Camera last month that was interestingly clear and detailed.

We don’t know the exact date of release yet but it is expected to arrive in Q1, 2020, i.e. between January and March to mark the leap year. Apparently, Realme took a jump from X2 Pro to X50 but that is justifiable since there is a clear explanation for it. The ‘X’ is literally a reference to Realme’s X series while the adjoining ‘5’ is for the 5G network support. Finally, the ‘0’ is an annotation to the beginning of a leap year i.e. 2020 as it will be a leap year and thus, Realme X50 5G.

Realme X50 5G to get Snapdragon 735 5G

Qualcomm is holding an event on December 3rd and 5th where it will probably showcase its flagship Snapdragon 865 SoC that a number of devices have already hinted towards integrating it next year. Apparently, reports suggests that Realme X50 5G could get 5G ready Snapdragon 735 SoC as well while a “Pro” variant could get the flagship chipset on-board. But take it with a pinch of salt as there’s no confirmation on it at this moment.

There are no details about its Realme X50 specification or price but we are sure that the information will be available soon because leaks literally spread faster than sound.
