Samsung is literally everywhere when it comes to upcoming smartphones from flagship to mid-tier to budget phones. One of the upcoming mid-range smartphones that has made quite a buzz is the Samsung Galaxy A72. Talking about the device, it has both 4G and 5G variant with model numbers SM-A725F and SM-A726B. Apparently, its 4G variant just made an appearance on Geekbench.
Talking about the Samsung Galaxy A72 4G, the phone has made it to Geekbench scoring 549 points on single-core and 1637 points on the multi-core test. As per the Geekbench listing, the device packs in a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC under the hood along with Android 11-based OneUI 3.0 out-of-the-box and a 8GB RAM that powers the device. For those who don’t know, this is the same chipset that powers the Samsung Galaxy A52 4G which arrived on Geekbench last week scoring the same benchmarking scores.
According to Galaxy Club, the Samsung Galaxy A72 packs in a quad-camera setup consisting of a 64MP primary shooter assisted with a 12MP wide-angle, a 5MP macro, and a 5MP depth sensor on-board. There’s a tiny punch-hole cut-out centrally placed just under the top bezel which means, you have decent screen real estate to get your hands on. The device packs in a hefty 6.7” display as seen in the previously leaked renders.
The phone will arrive with light purple, blue, black, and white color variants as it was earlier rumored. The Samsung Galaxy A72 pricing remains unavailable at the time of writing this. It is highly speculated that the phone will arrive in a €550 to €600 band with its 5G while the 4G variant gets a price tag between €450 to €500. Both the variants are expected to arrive in Western Europe and other countries although we will have to wait for the official launch to know more about its availability.
