Samsung has an impressive lineup of affordable smartphones with the M-series taking the forefront. The South Korean giant is working on a new smartphone under the M-series, dubbed as Galaxy M12. We have already spotted it on the Indian BIS certification site hinting at its imminent launch in the country. Cut to now, it has been spotted on Geekbench which gives us a sneak peek into some of the specifications that the phone will arrive with.
According to the Geekbench listing, Samsung Galaxy M12 with model number SM-M127F pulled off 178 points in its single-core test while the multi-core test shows 1,025 points as a result. The listing also reveals some of the specifications that the phone will arrive with such as the in-housed Exynos 850 octa-core SoC clocked at 2.00GHz base frequency. The device packs in a 3GB RAM although it is likely to arrive with multiple RAM variants too.
Proceeding further, the device comes pre-loaded with Android 11-backed OneUI 3.0 out-of-the-box which was confirmed on the listing as well. There are not many details available about the same as of now although there are rumors that we have added below.
The device is speculated to arrive with a quad-camera setup sporting a 13MP primary sensor paired with 5MP secondary and two 2MP sensors one of which will be a depth sensor. The front camera is expected to have an 8MP sensor. We have seen renders of the smartphone as leaked by OnLeaks on Twitter which gives a sneak-peek into how the smartphone will look like. The quad-camera at the back is housed in a squaricle camera setup with a flash underneath it. The front has thick bezels given its price point and with a teardrop-shaped notch housing the front camera. The chin is considerably thick as seen in the renders.
The Samsung Galaxy M12 is likely to arrive with a 7,000 mAh battery as it appeared on a live shot. The device is likely to sport a large 6.7” display much like Galaxy A42 although take it with a pinch of salt at the moment. There’s no ETA on the Samsung Galaxy M12 launch yet but we will be keeping an eye on it whenever the news arrives so stay tuned.
