Samsung has a whole other world of apps specially curated for its high-end Samsung smartphones i.e. the Samsung Galaxy Store. The latest addition to the Store is “3D Scanner” which literally stands for its name. The app launched for Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ (at the moment) takes advantage of the Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensor mounted on Galaxy Note 10+ and Note 10+ 5G. It scans the object from all sides and produces a 3D model of the real-world object on-screen.
Especially released with Galaxy Note 10+ and Note 10+ 5G, the app could technically work on Galaxy A80 and Galaxy S10 5G as well thanks to the ToF sensors they sport so if you have either of the two, give it a try and tell us if it works or not.
According to SamMobile, the 3D Scanner app creates 3D models of the objects after the user clicks and scans the object 360°. This can be used to transport into videos or can be shared as GIF if you want. The recommended size for the object is between 20-80 cubic centimeters and requires users to completely isolate the object from anything that could get scanned and the final product could end up getting surroundings with the subject as well so you need to be extra cautious with it.
Although people may find vivid ideas to capture any object without any obstacles in between, what I would recommend is still the motion capture rig that motion capture artists use to create real-like movies with toys. Okay, I don’t want to dig into the technicalities but you can create a handmade rig out of steel wires or use a tripod to at least isolate most of the surface. Attaching any object with a string to the ceiling can also help if you try.

Anyways, the app is available on the Galaxy Store and it is especially available for Galaxy Note 10+ and Note 10+ 5G although Galaxy A80 and Galaxy S10 5G might support it too, which is something you need to try.
