With Android smartphone makers making efforts to roll out Android 10 OS on their smartphones, Sony sidelined it for a while until today. Sony has officially listed eight smartphones that will be bumped to Android 10 Q operating system that made it official a few months ago.
According to the list of Android 10 Supported Sony smartphones, Sony Xperia 1, Xperia 5, Xperia 10, Xperia 10 Plus, Xperia XZ2, Xperia XZ2 Compact, Xperia XZ2 Premium, and Xperia XZ3. This leaves a lot of scope for other smartphones that might or might not make it to the latest OS.
As per the timeline, both Sony Xperia 1 and Xperia 5 will be the first candidates to get the Android 10 update sometime in December 2019 which leaves us with a few weeks. On the contrary, other Xperia smartphones enlisted above will be getting their Android 10 upgrade starting early 2020 onwards. This is as per Sony’s official parlance. Note that the availability of the Android updates is based on a lot of factors including the market, operator, etc so the time it arrives on your device could differ.
