For all the console gaming fans out there, the wait for both Microsoft Project Xbox Scarlett and Sony PlayStation 5 is still a bit more than they expected earlier. Both the consoles have been in the making for years now and deliberately delayed to the new AMD CPUs that will power both the devices although that doesn’t mean there’s only one reason behind the spontaneous delay. Both the consoles will be powerful compared to their predecessors and will have a tonne of new features that will enable them to outpace their rivals. Here, we decided to club everything we got on both Xbox Scarlett and PlayStation 5 (PS5) that should keep you glued for a bit until official information is released so take it with a pinch of salt. Xbox Scarlett VS PlayStation 5 - Release Date: Undoubtedly one of the most sought after questions will be the release date for fans of both or say either of the consoles. Turns out we do have a tentative date for the release of both Xbox Scarlett from Microsoft and PlayStation 5 from Sony *drum roll please*that's Holiday 2020. For those who might be unaware of it, both the consoles might make it to the market sometime in December 2020. So you have a year to fondle and think about which console you will go for. Xbox Scarlett VS PlayStation 5 - Specifications: Talking about the display tech, both the consoles will support up to 120Hz of refresh rate that should enable excellent gameplay in real-time without any hassle. Where Xbox Scarlett is expected to max at 8K Support, so do PlayStation 5 that will support 8K as well. We don’t know for sure how Xbox Scarlett will look like once it hits the shelves but we do know that PlayStation 5 will have a massive V-shaped cavity that seems homologous to its moniker so I think Sony will stick to it. Moving onto the specifications, Xbox Scarlett will probably run on GDDR6 16RAM along with 8-core Custom AMD Zen 2 paired along with Custom AMD Radeon RNDA Navi which supports ray tracing technology which is one of the reasons why we haven’t seen either of the devices makes it to the public at this moment. On the contrary, Sony PlayStation 5 will have an 8-core 16-thread x86-64 AMD Ryzen Zen 2 CPU powered by Custom AMD Radeon RNDA Navi GPU similar to its rival. This gives PS5 its ray-tracing capability along with 3D audio, VR support, etc. Apart from that, both the console makers are estimated to make a move to the next generation Solid Station Drives (SSDs) that will allow faster loading, gaming, saving & storing, etc. PS5 will be backward compatible with both PSVR and PS4 while Xbox Scarlett will be compatible with Xbox One, Xbox 360, and the original Xbox although we will have to wait for the official confirmation at this moment.
