Vivo is already all over when it comes to smartphones in various price and specs-related categories. The Chinese manufacturer is about to showcase its next Vivo X30 series next month on December 18. Vivo posted a teaser on Chinese social networking site Weibo which showed the first look at the phone although Vivo didn’t actually show the front display.
Anyways, Vivo is posting some intriguing teasers on Weibo such as the new one that shows it using its space zoom tech to zoom at an incredible 60x which is commendable since the max we have is 50x although the hardware behind it remains a mystery.
The video shows interesting and impressive professional-looking zoom capabilities although it is highly unlikely to be such detailed when zoomed at 60x. Perhaps Vivo will be using a periscope lens to achieve such a degree of zoom where a teaser showed that it could be using a 13MP periscope unit.
Per GSMArena, Vivo could achieve such zooming capabilities using hybrid zoom which is a combination of digital and optical zoom. On the flip side, it could be a periscope lens making its effort to achieve the highest quality.
