Two months ago, a report surfaced on the web teasing the upcoming Xiaomi phones with 108MP. Seems like the launch is drawing closer. Xiaomi is planning to release ‘two cheapest smartphones with 108MP camera’. We found out that the devices are currently codenamed as ‘Gauguin’ and ‘Gauguin Pro’ and both the devices are inching closer to launch.
A Weibo leakster teased the codenames for both the devices. A recent update indicates that both the devices are rolling closer to launch although there’s no date as confirmed yet. Here, both the devices will have a quad-camera setup where the ‘Gauguin’ will take up a 64MP primary sensor while the ‘Gauguin Pro’ will sport a 108MP primary sensor. Apparently, both the devices are tagged in the ‘cheapest smartphones’ tag which means they are likely to be included in the Redmi brand probably the Redmi 10 series although take it with a pinch of salt.
We don’t know much about the specifications of these two devices. More information about the two is likely to come on our way but we will have to wait for it.
