Chinese smartphone maker ZTE has filed for yet another patent with dual punch-hole cameras. Unlike the previous patent that showed a dual punch-hole camera housed directly onto the front of the display, this particular patent shows a sliding mechanism that will house the front optic cameras, speakers, and other sensors.
According to GSMArea, the patent shows vague hints about the design of a smartphone that ZTE could roll out with a full-screen display with bezels around. The phone will have a sliding mechanism and once you slide the display down, it will reveal its front camera mechanism and other sensors. The sketches show an oval-shaped fingerprint scanner at the back backed by a dual-camera sensor arranged in an iPhone X-like vertically stacked camera setup along with an LED flash below it.
The ZTE smartphone with slider design shows a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top and a USB Type-C port at the bottom along with the primary mic. So, it is not yet known if ZTE is actually gonna roll out a phone with such a design, although I do believe it is a budget or lower mid-range smartphone so let’s wait and wait until we hear more about it soon.
