OnePlus is coming on December 4. That’s the official launch date as confirmed by OnePlus itself on the Chinese social media site Weibo. The Chinese tech giant is celebrating its 10th anniversary as the company was originally founded on December 16, 2012. The first-ever OnePlus device was launched on April 23rd, 2014, powered by Snapdragon 801 SoC.
OnePlus 12: What To Expect?
The OnePlus 12 belongs to the class of a few initial phones to get the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, the chipset that has set AnTuTu ablaze with 2 million points. Xiaomi 14 series took the title of first device ever to pick it up but with the OnePlus 12 launch date nearing, we are certain that OnePlus will be among the top three brands after Xiaomi and iQOO to pick it up.
There’s up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and Android 14-powered ColorOS 14 on the Chinese variant. The global variant should get OxygenOS custom UI on top of Android 14 as usual.
OnePlus 12 is slated to get a 6.82” BOE X1 OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2K resolution, and a 32MP front camera. The rear assembly is a being thanks to a triple camera setup consisting of an LYT-T808 primary that came with HyperTone camera optimizations. There’s a 48MP ultrawide camera with a Sony IMX581 sensor and an OmniVision OV64B periscope lens with a 64MP sensor on-board.
There’s a 5,000mAh battery under the hood. Also, there’s 50W wireless and a speedy 100W fast-wired charging tech with the OnePlus 12.
It’s not just the OnePlus 12 but the OnePlus Ace 3 will debut on December 4 or more, so it is likely to make its debut on that day. The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC (from OnePlus 11) and will be rebranded as the OnePlus 12R once it arrives in India and other markets outside China.
