The upcoming flagship phone achieved the same thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with 1TB of storage, 24GB of RAM, and the one of the largest vapor chamber liquid cooling system on a phone that we covered as well.
OnePlus 12 Tops AnTuTu Benchmark
To shed light on what happened, you must know that the yet-to-release OnePlus 12 was spotted on AnTuTu. It didn’t get a score or bash all the previous records even by phones powered by the flagship Snapdragon chip. It scored a whopping 2,333,030 points on AnTuTu which is the highest ever recorded on the platform.
Upon breaking down AnTuTu scores, you’d get an idea of which component on the SoC outshines the competition. OP 12 scores 533,566 points on the CPU test; and 583,511 points on the GPU test; followed by 355,995 points on UX and 538,511 points on a memory test. For comparison, the A17 Pro chips on the iPhone 15 Pro series racked up 1.56 million points on the AnTuTu 10 which goes on to say just how powerful the SD8 Gen3 is.
The flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC manages to pull an impressive score on a major benchmarking platform. The 1TB UFS 4.0 and 24GB LPDDR5X RAM (the highest of the trims available) took the game to another level.
However, the vapor chamber (VC) liquid cooling system onboard is one of the major reasons why OP 12 managed to score high. The heat dissipation on the device is impressive as it helps a device sustain higher performance for a longer duration without throttling.
For instance, MediaTek Dimensity 9300 reportedly throttled to 46% just 2 minutes into the stress test while the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC throttled 80% even after 10 minutes of the same stress test.
OnePlus 12 Release Date
When it comes to the release date, OnePlus 12 is set to launch in China on December 5 followed by global launch on January 23rd. India will see the launch first while the global markets will have to wait till January 24th to get their hands on the almighty OnePlus 12.
